This free 45-min Zoom session will cover the topics that are most important for students and families living outside the US to understand and get right in applications to top US colleges.  I'll share insights gained through helping dozens of students navigate the admissions journey, 15 years working/teaching in and attending top universities, and through building a massive dataset on US college admissions and quality. Along the way we'll step through the major elements of the admissions process and how to prepare for it.

For students and parents considering selective US colleges who are applying this year, next year, or the following year (currently in grades 10-12 in most systems). Relevant for those who are polishing their applications, those just getting started in thinking about US colleges, and everyone in between.

• Assessment/admissions: what colleges are looking for, tips for getting a leg up as an international student, and what too many international students get wrong in writing their application ESSAYS

• Affordability: how to target financial aid that brings colleges with high tuition within reach
